Day 4 of FDoF....made pasta with a friend and came home with some for dinner. Packed lunch to take over there, rather than stop for something. Borrowed two movies.
Today, day 5 of FDoF we are going out for dinner. The kids need to pick one of the 2 places we have coupons for. This is to celebrate good report cards. Otherwise, I'm draggin' butt today. I just read a whole book, so that was nice. I guess I need to pick up the house, now that the Imitrex has kicked in.
Have a great weekend!

WOOT!
School today, yay! It was only -16* this morning, unlike the -18* yesterday morning. Go figure. Been stripping some things of their old paint today. My old Barbie case and my Dad's old foot locker from the Guard. I think I'll leave the case, just stain it and re-do the interior. The foot locker needs some new paint.
Day 3 of 40 Days of Frugal:
Cancelled my subscription to The Graocery game (saves $1.25 a week), I can do this now that I'm home 24/7. Turned the heat back down to 69*...sneaky Mr. Snapper! No go on the cable phone service in this area, darn. Raided my paint stash for paint for the foot locker, rather than add it to the grocery list.

Snow Day #2
We woke up to -18* today, that was the actual temp, not the wind chill. I did take us all out to shop today though, we are going a tad crazy! We went to Meijer for groceries, Menards for a few things and had lunch with Dave. I took Trent in to be seen, no sinus infection, just common crud. I really hope they have school tomorrow....
40 Days of Fugal:
Stuck to the grocery list, did not buy anything that wasn't on it. This is huge! Used my 17% off all items bag for Menards items. Lunch with Dave consisted of a loaf of bread and the lunch meat and cheese we had just bought at Meijers. Made bread to go with dinner tonight...soup bought today with coupons. Chunky brand Healthy Request's: Italian Wedding soup and Chicken Noodle. Each can cost $1.10. Rented two free movies from the library. RSVP'ed to a free tatting class for this Saturday. I am stoked about this!

2 posts/1 day
Today starts "40 days of Frugal" here at the Snapper house.
Today I changed our Blockbuster Online subscription from $15.89 a month to $6.35 a month. That means we go from 2 at a time, unlimited to 1 at a time, limit 2 per month. We have been hitting the local movie rental place in addition to the BBO, so no need for the unlimited. I also checked into Vonage, which is not available in our area, and need to call and check on cable telephone from Charter.

Happy Monday!
No school today, it's -2* with wind chills of btw -15 & -25. I'm post stomach bug from yesterday, but feeling pretty good. Wish us luck though.
No word on the job, other than *now* they are trying to figure out if part-time will work. Seems like they should have thought about that before asking folks.
I have to return movies to the library today, wonder if I can talk Dave into doing it on the way to Trent's hockey tonight. No huge plans for today, I was going to take Trent to the Doctors for sinus issues, but he sounds much better today. We may work on Valentines and get a jump start on them.

Argh!
So...work called yesterday. Do I want to be a scheduler? What days and times do I want to work? The reason I 'left' was because I only wanted part time, and there is no such thing at present for nursing. Hmmmm. Scheduling. Behind the scenes, scheduling appointments, the days and times I choose, for $2.45 less an hour. Still no week-ends or holidays, Dave and I can carpool again and eat lunch together. What to do what to do? I'm the first person to tell you that money isn't everything, I believe. This is the exact thing I wanted, and the days and hours of my choosing....(M/Wed/Th from 7:15 to 3:45, same exact hours as Big Daddy.) It means the kids get up at 6 am and we all leave the house at 6:30. The kids eat breakfast at daycare and catch the bus to school. Then, after school, they catch the bus back, get there at 3:15 and Dave and I pick them up at 4:15. Hmmmm. This is a really nice place to work, very flexible, family oriented, and I want to really keep my foot in the door. It leaves me two days a week for the home projects that are going on right now. And to keep up on house cleaning, shopping, meal prep, etc. And we'd have evenings together still. We did not have that when I worked with the Dr., I was getting home at 6:30-7 pm.
What to do?
