Momma Drama

My free babysitting neighbors just bailed for Friday, when I need 12 hours of child care since I'll be NY bound, Dave will be at work and there is no school....
Luckily, my daycare lady was not full yet. Big sigh of relief, even though it will cost a chunk of change.

I sent my resume and cover letter to the Superintendent of the local schools. I'm trying to land a job at the pre-school. It's not going to net me as much as a nursing job will, but it was the least disruptive to the little people's schedules. I didn't hear anything today. Resume's were accepted through today. I did hear through the grapevine, that a neighbor (who is a substitute teacher) also applied. Looks like it would be a Christmas miracle...

Maiya and I had a nice picnic lunch on the porch today. A little while ago, she told me "You my best friend..." Awww. I guess she thinks that will make up for the fact that she was the world's biggest pain in the ass while I did homework with the big two.

The leaves are already changing colors. Have been for about two weeks now. Bastards!

Four more days until the road trip to NY.

I need to find a job. Ha! In addition to the two I already have.

Scrapbooking and reading lately, it does a body good. HP #3, and this book.

Trent had a cavity filled the other day, took it like a real pro.

...only 4 more days 'till school starts.

I've been working on tweaking the biggies school clothes lately. Fixings buttons, adding velcro, sewing ruffles onto a skirt, ironing! I shopped at a Goodwill type store to get started, then ended up with a big old bag of hand me downs for Dev afterwards. Trent is pretty much set with the addition of a few pair of pants.

Today is take Trent to the dentist day and who knows what else. It's wet and gloomy again here today.

Big weekend long celebration the next town over going on, starting today. Think we'll do the space walk and pig roast dinner today.

This has been the best summer on record as far as relaxing and fun. More on that some other day...

My sweet, yet evil baby is so cute sometimes. She is sure to tell me "Goo Moor-nin" every day. Yesterday she said "You the bes momma, sjhsieuduo", she was trying to say "Your the best momma in the whole wide world", like the biggies. Heh. Almost makes up for her annoying habit of wrapping herself around one of my legs all day long saying "Me want choo".

Off to pick up the big two today, wow, does this week ever fly by.
Maiya and I are going out to breakfast, then heading for the big city. We will hit Target, Hobby Lobby, Joanns and the nail supply store. Then we'll meet my mom and the kiddies at Cracker Barrel for lunch. It's been a nice vacation, but I'm glad that they are done. :)

The big 2 are downstate with my sisiter and mom. Can I get a Dr.Pepper with that big old slice of heaven? Maiya is heading for daycare in a bit, and Dave and I are going on a 4 hour kayak trip. Later this afternoon, all 3 of us are heading for the 4-H fair.
