Until the big road trip to Florida. The preparations to get to that point are killing me. I will be very glad when this is over with.

For no other reason than I am twisted.....
Here is the Barbie cake I made for Devin's birthday. Here is a very happy Devin, with Barbie. Then things got ugly. .Ug-A-Lee. Barbie cannot hang. Or can she...?

Cliff Notes. Yet again...
Baby Maiya has been laughing like when she was a baby lately. It's a sheep bleating (sp) type of laugh that makes me want to eat her up. "I could eat you up sakas (sp)" is something a nursing home patient used to say to me.......sakas (sp) meant "little lamb" she said. I understand that feeling now, since having kids.
I enjoyed the hell out of my Super 8 experience. Even if I did track down the family, because I didn't know what to do with myself that first night. Am I pitiful or what? I checked out Lowes at a snail pace. I read a whole book. An excellent read by the way. I didn't motivate until 2:30 pm. That's the time of day that I normally have logged 8 hours by....I checked out wallpaper books all afternoon. I found a new scrappbooking store. I scrapped 13 L/O's. I slept in, if you consider 7:30 am sleeping in. It was a much needed break in the routine. I have felt 100% better since my return.
Until today. Seems that, after some research and forum trolling for info and experience, I may actually suffer from panic attacke. All these years, I just figured I had a quirky heart, due to my analness and type A personality. This morning got a little hairy, but the intensity of this episode was so much greater than any other time. Frankly, it scared the living shit out of me. I'm glad Dave was home.
Maiya goes to the Dr. tomorrow...I'm quite sure her sinus infection is still here. I've been hitting her with the nebulizer treatments as needed too. This will be her third course of antibiotics. Poor Bunny. Devin is clear, yay! I'm sure Trent has a sinus infection too, he goes to the allergist for another allergy testing on Thursday.
Looks like we are Florida bound come the end of the month......
Village work needs to be done tomorrow, meeting was last night. The audit is at the end of April. I've already put folks on notice.....if the audit results do not come back stellar, then I am resigning. "I want to do right by the Village, and if I can't, then it's best to find someone who can." PC or what? The stay at home part of the job is nice, but not the one person deal. I can work 5 days a month as a nurse for the same exact net pay. I know that I will feel better about it all by the end of this summer when Devin starts school, but that makes me feel like a horrible mother. I just feel like really runny pancake batter lately. Spreading out in the pan, thinner and thinner.....some of it is the usual winter blahs and sick kids, but cripes.
Dave will start the new job on April 4th.......should be much better on the gasoline budget. Which will help pay that new car off. Or should I say truck? When I call it a car, Maiya says "No car momma! TRUCK!" Too funny...
Happy hump day tomorrow everyone! :)

Is it wrong of me...
....to be counting down the minutes? I didn't think so either.......
I'm sick again. And more than that, sick of being sick. I'm sure that diet and exercise would go a long way towards keeping me healthier. Blaahh..
There is nothing playing at the movies that I really want to see. WHACK! I just threw another book into my bag instead. We will be heading for church in a half hour (Yay! for church, think we found a good one...), then will do pizza for lunch and I'll pack my last few things. See you all on Tuesday! Have a good few days. :)

Where to start.....
Today's Dr. appointment for Trent and Devin? Okay. Ear infection for Trent, I could have sworn he had a sinus infection. Un-resolved sinus infection for Devin. Maiya went back in last Friday. Un-resolved sinus infection for her and an asthma wheeze. This is the second go around for her with the nebulizer and inhalation treatments. Hopefully she won't have any more episodes, otherwise she be diagnosed with asthma. Antibiotic cocktails all around here at the Snapper house! It feels like my sinus infection is gone, but my glands are funky and it's phlegm city.......The good news is that it looks like we dodged the major stomach bug virus this year. KNOCK ON WOOD, TWICE!!! Devin had a very mild case of it that didn't last but a few hours quite awhile back. Trent goes back to the allergist this month to have his allergy testing repeated, then he'll start allergy shots in May. Devin has been referred for testing also.
Devin's birthday was yesterday. She's the big 5 now. She did cupcakes at pre-school the day before. Then yesterday I took her, Maiya and Hana to playgroup. We met Heidi and Jade there, then went to McDonalds for lunch. The Playscape, sundaes and cupcakes were more appreciated than even the fries and nuggets. Can't say that I blame any of them with those nuggets though.....Today after the Dr. appointment we shopped for her birthday presents. She wasn't supposed to be with Trent and I, but since she spiked a temperature last night, she got to go to the ped's too. I managed to find her a snowboard. Yay! That is what my 'lil Crazy girl wanted. I bought her a Cinderella clock too.....time *heh* to start working on that. Tomorrow I shall try my hand at making a Cinderella (Barbie) cake. She picked Bob Evans to have dinner at tomorrow for the family birthday celebration.
The new truck is working out pretty well. Gas hog that it is. Maybe it's not quite a hog, but it costs $18-20 to fill the Neon, and about $37 to fill the Explorer. I'm loving the tinted windows for the kids though. And the automatic 4 wheel drive. It was very nice to have that thing to drive dowstate for the funeral. I'm a pretty good Neon packer, but the extra room is a bonus. I had to get a little apeshitty on the car dealership salesman though. The armrest was broken clean off when we first test drove it, and we wanted that fixed. They said okay, they would order a new one. Damn if they didn't glue, then heat and smooth the old one back on. Got the message today to come on back up.....the new armrest is in. Hopefully the new plate will be there too, we had to buy a new one. Speaking of plates.....I finally bought the Olympic plate for *my* Neon. I've wanted that plate for years, just never did it. It looks great on *Dave's* Neon now.....lol! He has me driving the Explorer all the time right now. I guess I can't complain about no pretty Olympic plate though. ;)
All home improvement projects have come to a screeching halt right now for some reason. I guess laundry, dishes and the Village job have taken their place. Yipee!
Dave is taking a new job (at least this week...;) This one is a half hour closer to us, but north. It also involves being on call, so we have been hearing about that. Non-stop. Over. And over. And some more. The day after he told them he would take it, some other place called him out of the blue with an offer. So, the mid-life crisis, masquerading as a job hunt continues.....The new job is supposed to start April 4th. It will involve more actual day shifts though, so that will be nice.
Rumor has it that we are supposed to be heading for Florida the last week in March. To check in on Dave's parents.....we shall see how that all comes together.
I'm loving the Blockbuster on-line deal. Not so much loving the fact that we have nothing but basic cable. Lots of library movies are being viewed here too.
Our birds had babies, but they did not make it. I did finally get a book on finches, so I'll be reading up before we attempt this again.
Kindergarten round up is next week. *Sniff!* The bad news is that they are closing the K center here in town. That means my big mouth girl here at home/but uber quiet at school girl will be taking the bus to school. THE BUS!!! The horrors.....her brother did say that he would sit with her for the first few days though, until she made some friends. Sweet. They are offering half day K this year too, if they get enough interset. Damn bastards! When I was bitching because Trent had to go all day, where was that option? I bet they won't have enough people interested in that though. Gee, what will Maiya and I do all day? How well did I do containing my glee over that...lol!
Little Miss Maiya is totally and completely potty trained. Her idea, back around the middle of December. I am so diaper bag free! I really am loving that part. Nothing but some baby wipes in my purse for faces and hands.
I have almost all of the year 2004 scrapped. Go me! I have two more easy L/O's to do, and of course the Christmas Day roll of film is still MIA. I'm sure it will show up, but I wish it would hurry up about it!
Only and and a half more days until I run away from home. Yay! That's right. RUN AWAY FROM HOME!!! I know there are 11 millionty trillion moms out there that don't get time off, and even may be okay with that, but I am not one of them. It's been darn near 4 years since I've been away from home, sans kids. My emotional tanks are empty. My reserve tanks are empty. Every day is worse and worse. I need to re-charge. I have made reservations at the Super 8 down the road for Sunday and Monday night. I will sleep in. I will nap. I will read a whole book. I will potty alone. I will go to Lowe's and walk every aisle, ALONE! QUIETLY! AND TAKE NOBODY TO THE BATHROOM THERE! I will swim in the pool. I will take my nail stuff and do my hands and toes. I will eat the food that is served to me, and I will not whine or tell the server "I don't like this...." I will watch a movie. I will relax. Unwind. Rejuvenate. And miss my family, because for as much as they suck me dry emotionally.....I love them to pieces. :)
