Wamma Jamma Big Ass Post....

Greetings!

Still sick...think it's allergy related and boy does it suck! I never had problems until a few years ago, and it seems to get worse each year. My head is full, and my voice is gone. I've been running a slight fever though, and have hopped myself up on cold meds so who knows.

Trent-allergy/sinus issues as always. Orthodontist appointment on Wednesday. I need to pull him out of school a few minutes early to get him there on time. He is fast becoming quite the reader. He says that math and science are his favorite subjects in school. He seems to be doing fine on the bus too. The driver called a few weeks ago and had no specific complaints with/about him. I worry/worried about him being picked on, but so far it doesn't seem to be an issue.

Devin-allergy issues right now too, so the allergens must be out in full force. Normally she is my healthiest child, not nearly as many symptoms as the other two. She had preschool today, she loves going. The field trip the other day was a big hit. The firemen actually got called out for a grass fire during our visit there. Now both kids are on me to have the home fire drill. Excellent idea, and we really do need to test out the fire ladder and send them down it once. That way if an emergency ever crops up, they won't balk at the ladder.

Maiya-allergy issues. Sassiness issues, she is trying to hit her siblings and everything is "NONONO!!!" Can you tell she's almost two....? I won't be surprised if someone, somewhere, somehow tries to label her someday. At first I thought it was because she's the third child, and we are lax, then I thought it was because the house isn't childproofed like it was for the other two, then I thought it's because I am old, then I thought well maybe it's because nothing is in it's place, there is too much crap to get in to. But I think it's just her. She flits around non stop all day long. She has the attention span of a mentally deficient gnat. She cycles through here like a tumbleweed......non stop motion. I darn sure don't remember this with the biggies.

Dave-all stressors this week, brought to you by Dave. ;) The job crisis is here again. He left the old place to get top-notch skills at a bigger facility. He has done that now for 6 months. He was just offered and accepted the afternoon shift charge tech position. He just sent off a resume to a hospital closer than where he is now. The new place is a half hour north. It will be getting a permanent MRI magnet sometime in March. The guy there was very interested in talking to him. Then the old job called. He gave them some huge wage figure figuring they would laugh at him. The bigger boss called him back today. And then there is all the talk of working 'travel', for three times the money...the house could be paid off in 3 years going that route. Oy! Glad I'm not him.

The car is acting up again; think it's time to bite off a car payment again. We haven't had one of those for about 2.5 years now. We may be car shopping tomorrow.

And what have I learned lately? That when buying another house, damn sure go for the new construction one. It dawned on me this weekend that I JUST WANT TO CLEAN THE HOUSE!!! JUST CLEAN IT! Not paint it, or spackle it, or knock walls out of it, not drywall it, not roof it, not sand it, not prime it, not wallpaper it, not re-hardware it, not border it, not tile it, not landscape it, not strip it, not any of that shit! I just want to move in, accessorize it, and then clean it. Now the big push is to get Dave to agree to sell this place and move me in to a small trailer on acreage. ;) Wish me luck!

Tomorrow the girls are going to daycare, and then Trent has a make up soccer game at 6 pm. Then on Saturday he has back-to-back games and then he's done for the season. He has really enjoyed it, and he's pretty good at it too.

I had some meat still in the freezer before this shopping trip. This should last for at least a month. I'll have to buy milk and some bread before the month is out. I spent another 174.50 that day on non-grocery things.....wool socks for everyone (25 % off and cheaper than moving south?!?), hunting gloves for me (25% off), and expensive Kitchen Aid can opener that better not turn out to be a POS...so Dave can stop crabbing about the can opener, an unbreakable water bottle for me (I pity the fool who steals or breaks it!!!), a cheese grater, Brita filters, and winter coats for Trent and Devin and snow pants for Trent. (All winter gear 45% off)

Happy Tuesday all!
