Yesterday............Dave worked for overtime. He took the car again..........all this exercise is going to kill me. Especially since I got on the exercise bike again. I was supposed to take Trent to hockey, kind of hard to do when the car and three carseats are MIA. So we all bundled up and hauled on over to the post office to mail off some packages. Then back home to warm up. A little while later we all bundled up (with the exception of Miss Sassyass, who refused to get ready in time and went without snowpants...) and walked Trent a few blocks over to drop him off at a kiddie birthday party. Came home and changed sheets on the beds, had lunch and put about 3 weeks worth of laundry away. Yikes!! Bundled up again, and this time Miss Sassyass paid heed, and we walked back over to get Trent. I've got muscles screaming at me from my abdomen that I forgot I even had. Too much hard work pulling that wagon through the snow. Not enough snow to use the sled full time yet though.
Miss Maiya is a queen pooper anymore. She has crapped more times in the tub in the last two weeks than the other two combined did in 5.5 years.........she had the audacity to do it yesterday while in the tub with Trent. And then she had the nerve to finish, after the tub had been drained, cleaned and refilled. How annoying is that?!?!
Managed to get all the Thank you notes done finally for Christmas and Maiya's birthday. Did a little photo organizing. Stayed up to late.........
Today the daddy was home...the kids woke up at 6 a.m., I am so very sick of getting up at 5 freaking a.m. to get some morning peace and quiet. I am really looking forward to the time they all sleep in till noon as teens. I am not a morning person by nature or choice and it's starting to get on my last nerve. It's the water......damn water!! The more water I drink, the better I feel. I have more energy, and I don't get to bed until late because I'm not feeling sluggish. To bed at midnight, up at 5-6 a.m. ARGH!!!!! Water is bad. Very bad. My dad came up to do Christmas gift exchange and Maiya's birthday. These visits are okay, short and sweet, no sense pushing it. We all had lunch at Pizza Hut. Ruh Roh on the diet......especially when following that up with a pancake, eggs and sausage dinner. Weigh in is not going to be pretty tomorrow. :( We stopped at the grocery store after lunch (Dad and Rose left from PH to drive home). Trent and I did the shopping, and the lame hineys stayed in the car and napped. More healthy food in the house...yipee. I know and you know that all I really want is a Dunkin Donut....lemon filled/powdered sugar frosted.
I hired a new handyman of sorts today. The last one shoved us to the back burner when he got a bigger job which is fine, but then I had to ask him if he was coming back when that job was over. He said yes, after Christmas if that was okay, I say fine. Now I realize that it's not that far after Christmas but I haven't seen hide nor hair of him as far as our house is concerned. I have seen him here at my house for village stuff since he is also the village maintenance man. This combined with the fact that the village idiot is getting ready to put together a case to take to the state just doesn't 'feel' right roundabout now. The former clerk had renovations done in her home by this same maintenance man and the village approved the bills that included these renovations...........not really on the up and up there, since the annual budget that is allotted to the clerk doesn't include home improvements. I do not want to have to be dealing with this crazy woman 5 years from now when she thinks she is going to accuse me of some sort of misuse of village funds, or something as equally nutty. So anyways, I have asked the neighbor/general contractor to do it instead. He's $3 more an hour, but I can rationalize that away easy.....doesn't matter if I'm saving that 3 dollars if the other guy doesn't show up now does it? Jim starts tomorrow. And I can leave him in my house unattended while we go get Trent from school. That is something I would not do with the other guy. I need this stuff done, so Dave and I can get going on the other, easy stuff; repainting the kitchen, finishing the kitchen floor, repainting he bathroom, etc. I do not want to be working on these types of projects this summer. Trent only has so much time off from school....I'm not pissing it away. Besides that, Dave says we need to get the house "sell ready.." Hmmm, I do believe he might actually mean it this time.
Okay....need to go work on pictures. Scrapbooking bug is biting me arse ;)
