Momma Drama

Ahhh!

Nice. Yesterday was the first back-yard bonfire of the season, and today, the first coffeee on the front porch morning. That in no way means that it is done snowing though! It is 79.2 degrees right now, it is sooo nice. Needless to say, we have done an awful lot of yard work this weekend. Especially since it was neglected so horribly last fall while I was still working.

The kids even got into their swim suits today and had fun in the sprinkler. The dinner plan is to pack it, and take it down to the park and eat by the river.

Friday To Do

*Finish folding clothes. Everything is washed now, including everything from the attic. I need to go through it all and pull out garage sale items. We are so blessed, the girls have more clothes than they can even wear, all given to us.

*I should finish painting the trim and doors in our bedroom. Not sure if that will happen today though.

*Make an easy dinner plan. Devin and I are going out for dinner, and to see a play tonight. The local production of The Miracle Worker.

*Boil the eggs for making dyed eggs tomorrow.

Our garage sale is going to be on May 12th. I decided to start at the top of the house and work downwards to pull things for the sale. The attic is nice and clean now, but some things just got moved out of there to be gone through. Like the totes that hold of of the kid's stuff...baby clothes, school papers, etc. I decided I can part with some of the baby clothes (after I took pictures) and some other baby clothes were set aside for a quilt. I downsized the holiday decorations and took pictures of some of the kids art projects before I tossed them out. I've gone through all of my clothes and actually didn't save anything that didn't fit. That's a first, I'm a big girl now (really big)! Dave needs to go through his. All the papers need to be looked at, some pitched, some set aside for scrapbooking purposes. The magnitude of that scares me! I need to be ruthless. I guess you could say I'm trying to work my way back to Flylady and Dave Ramsey what with all the de-cluttering/gargae sale business. It would be nice if the house was clean again. And I knew where things were so I could stop buying duplicates, it's gotten that bad!

So, spring break has really been a bust for the kids. It's snowed each day so far, and we haven't been anywhere except to a friend's for dinner last night (ricotta gnocci...yum!). We are down to one car right now, and will keep it that way for now, so that's not helping matters. Plus we are on a SERIOUS budget to get the Visa paid off. Tomorrow afternoon we'll go help set up at church for the "Rock That Rolled" party. Then we'll go back to the party in the evening.

Have a great weekend, and a happy easter!

Ugh...

It's snowing. It's supposed to snow all week and this weekend.

My head is full of snot, and I have an empty medicine cabinet.

Poor kids, this is spring break week, it's not looking so good for them.
